About Me

I am a graduating senior at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo majoring in Journalism and minoring in Statistics. I have experience in data journalism, investigations and breaking news, mainly covering public policy and government.

Born in New York, I grew up in California and have reported in San Diego County, the Central Coast and the San Francisco Bay Area. At Cal Poly's student-run multimedia news organization, Mustang Media Group, I began working as a news reporter the summer before my freshman year. I worked up to editor in chief my junior year, leading award-winning coverage of the People v. Flores trial for the murder of Kristin Smart, the 2022 Midterm Election and more.

I've received state and national recognition for my reporting on homelessness, COVID-19 response at Cal Poly and sexual assault on campus, and helped secure awards for best newspaper, website and college media company in the nation.

I am currently an intern at NBC News Digital on the Data/Graphics team. In addition, I am a research assistant at Cal Poly, where I am analyzing the impact of an AI tool that assists local journalists in state legislative news coverage.

Outside of journalism, I love music, reading, hiking, tennis, sustainable fashion, sitcoms and documentaries!

                                                              Happy reading!
